Renia Gummilösung Extra Rubber Cement

Description

Gummilösung Extra is a solvent-based natural rubber cement, made in Germany and used in leather and shoe workshops for bonding before sewing. It has been a trade staple for this kind of work — belts, handbags, bags, shoes, leather clothing — because the adhesive film stays elastic when dry. That elasticity matters: the needle passes cleanly through the bonded material, stitch channels stay open, and the seam sits naturally without a stiff or brittle bond line.

Apply to both surfaces. Within 5 to 20 minutes of application, bring the pieces together and sew immediately — no waiting after pressing. If the alignment is not right, the bond can be broken and the pieces rejoined several times without re-applying adhesive. Any squeeze-out rubs away cleanly once dry.

Thin with Renia DeSohl or Renia Thinner if needed. Clean application tools with Renia Thinner or acetone.

Flammable. Use in a well-ventilated space and keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Shelf life: 12 months at 20°C. Full safety data sheet available on request.
