Description
The Kevin Lee straight handle awl is a precision stitching tool for opening stitch holes, marking and fine detail work at the bench. The 2.0mm French-style blade is tapered for clean, controlled piercing with minimal tear — important when working on finer leathers where an oversized hole distorts the stitch.
The handle is turned from rosewood with a solid brass ferrule at the join. Rosewood is a dense hardwood that sits comfortably in hand and resists the wear of regular workshop use well.
This awl accepts Kevin Lee replacement blades — available separately in French and diamond profiles — making it a long-term bench tool rather than a consumable.
