Double Cap Rivet Setter

Description

A steel rivet setter for installing double cap and single cap saddlery rivets cleanly and consistently. Used with a mallet or arbor press to set the rivet cap without marking or distorting the leather surface.

The 10mm setter suits most standard 10mm and smaller double cap rivets used in everyday leathercraft — belts, straps, collars and bag hardware. The 8mm setter is suited to smaller rivets used on finer work.

How to Use

1. Position the rivet through the leather with the post cap seated on a firm steel block or anvil.
2. Place the setter over the open cap.
3. Strike firmly and squarely with a mallet or use with an arbor press for consistent, even setting.
4. Check the cap has seated fully and evenly before moving on.
