Fiebing’s Gum Tragacanth is a leatherworking essential, used to burnish and smooth leather edges in preparation for finishing. It binds leather fibres and creates a slick, professional edge — ideal before applying edge paints or Fiebing’s Edge Kote.

How to Use:

1. Prepare the Leather: Ensure edges are clean, dyed/stained, and ready for finishing.

2. Apply: Use a dauber or edge paddle to apply a small amount to the edge.

3. Burnish: Rub with a slicker, bone folder, or burnishing tool until the edge is smooth and glossy.

4. Repeat if Needed: For extra smoothness, reapply and repeat.

5. Dry: Let it dry fully before applying any further finishes.

6. Optional: Apply Fiebing’s Edge Kote afterwards for coloured finishing.

7. Cleanup: Wipe tools before the product dries to prevent residue build-up.
