Leather stitching thread and stitching supplies for traditional hand leatherworking. Waxed polyester thread in 0.55mm and 0.65mm, John James harness needles, thread snips, needle threaders, and beeswax. UK-stocked. 0.55mm thread suits fine small goods and closer stitch spacing; 0.65mm suits mid-weight wallets, pouches, and light bag work. Pair either with John James harness needles — blunt-tipped, so the pricking iron makes the hole and the needle simply carries the thread through it. A needle threader speeds up re-threading mid-project, and a beeswax bar conditions thread — essential if you’re using waxed linen, and useful even with pre-waxed polyester on longer runs. For longer stitch lines — belts, bag panels — a stitching pony from our bench and workshop range holds the work steady so both hands stay free for the thread.
