Description
The Kevin Lee Sharpening Jig is designed for maintaining Kevin Lee Edge Bevelers and French Edgers at a consistent sharpening angle. Keeping the correct blade angle is important: a rounded or uneven bevel can cause the tool to drag, skip, or leave a rough edge instead of cutting cleanly.
Freehand stropping or sharpening can work, but it is easy to vary the angle over time and slowly change the geometry of the blade. This jig helps hold the tool consistently during the sharpening stroke, so you are working the same bevel each time rather than fighting an edge that has drifted out of shape.
Made from alloy aluminium with a hard black matt finish, it is a solid bench accessory for anyone using Kevin Lee beveling and edging tools regularly. Suitable for use with leather strops, diamond plates, and similar sharpening surfaces.
