Shipping Policy
This policy explains how Hideout Craft dispatches and delivers orders within the United Kingdom.
All orders are packed securely and shipped using tracked delivery services. There is no free shipping on any order, at any value — keeping delivery pricing honest lets us keep product prices as fair as possible.
1. Dispatch Times
Orders placed before 12pm on a working day are dispatched the same day, subject to the delivery option chosen. Orders placed after 12pm, or on weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched the next working day.
We aim to meet these timeframes wherever possible, but dispatch times are not guaranteed.
2. UK Delivery Options
Shipping options are shown at checkout and are based on the weight, type, and value of the products in your basket.
Tracked 48
Our standard delivery service is fully tracked and typically takes 2–4 working days. Pricing is based on parcel weight, shown at checkout.
Tracked 24
Need it quicker? Choose our faster tracked option at checkout for next-working-day delivery, aim (not guaranteed), for an additional charge based on parcel weight.
Courier Next Day
For orders over 2kg, or where a faster guaranteed dispatch is needed, we use a tracked courier service. Order before 12pm for same-day dispatch on this option.
Restricted Courier
Certain items — including hazardous or solvent-based products — can only be sent using a secure tracked courier service, regardless of order value. This is shown clearly at checkout for any order containing these items.
Age-Verified Courier
Items with an age restriction, including bladed tools, require an online age verification check before dispatch, and are sent using a service that confirms the recipient’s age on delivery. This applies to every order containing an age-restricted item. Customers with a Hideout Craft account will have their verification stored for up to 12 months, so they do not need to re-verify on future purchases.
High-Value Orders
Orders with a goods value of £500 or more may be sent using a secure tracked courier service with appropriate delivery cover included. This is handled by us as part of fulfilment and does not appear as a separate insurance add-on at checkout.
Delivery to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands
We deliver to these areas using the same tracked services as the rest of the UK, at the same Standard and Faster prices. Restricted Courier to these areas is charged at a flat rate to reflect the real cost of courier delivery to these locations, shown clearly at checkout.
3. Tracking
Tracking details will be provided by email once your order has been dispatched.
Customers are responsible for monitoring the tracking information and ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel where required — in particular for Restricted Courier and Age-Verified Courier, which require a signature and cannot be left in a safe place, with a neighbour, in a mailbox, or at any unattended location. If nobody is available, the item will be returned to the depot and a card left with collection or re-delivery instructions.
4. Delivery Address Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address provided at checkout is accurate and complete.
Hideout Craft will dispatch orders to the address exactly as entered at checkout.
We are not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or losses caused by incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer.
If an address error is identified, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has been processed or dispatched.
5. Delivery Issues
If there is an issue with delivery, please check the tracking information first.
Where appropriate, please also check with neighbours, reception areas, mail rooms, or any nominated safe place.
If the parcel has not been delivered to the agreed address or agreed safe place, please contact us and we will assist with the delivery investigation.
If a customer gives a delivery service permission to leave a parcel with a neighbour, in a safe place, or at another nominated location, responsibility for loss after delivery to that nominated place may pass to the customer.
6. Packaging
Orders are packed carefully using appropriate protective materials to help ensure safe delivery.
7. International Shipping
International delivery is not currently available.
