Shipping Policy

This policy explains how Hideout Craft dispatches and delivers orders within the United Kingdom.

All orders are packed securely and shipped using tracked delivery services.

1. Dispatch Times

Orders are processed based on the shipping option selected at checkout.

Standard Dispatch

Orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Friday, are usually dispatched the same business day.

Orders placed after 12pm, or on weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched the next business day.

We aim to meet these timeframes wherever possible, but dispatch times are not guaranteed.

Urgent Dispatch

Urgent Dispatch is an optional service for time-sensitive orders.

Orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday, are dispatched the same business day where possible.

Orders placed after 1pm, or on weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched the next business day.

Orders cannot usually be amended or cancelled after payment when Urgent Dispatch has been selected, as the order may be processed immediately.

2. UK Shipping Methods

Shipping options are shown at checkout and are based on the value, size, weight, and type of products in your basket.

We use Royal Mail for most deliveries and insured courier services where appropriate.

Royal Mail Tracked Services

Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Royal Mail Tracked 48 are used for most standard orders.

Small qualifying orders may be sent using Royal Mail Large Letter tracked services where suitable.

Premium, Age-Restricted and Security-Sensitive Items

Certain products require additional delivery security, including age-restricted items, sharp tools, blades, and selected higher-value products.

Knives, blades, and other sharps are always dispatched using a Signed For service. Unsigned delivery options are not available for these products.

These deliveries require a signature at the door. Parcels containing knives or bladed items cannot be left in a safe place, with a neighbour, in a mailbox, or at any unattended location. If nobody is available to sign, the item will be returned to the delivery depot and a card left with collection or re-delivery instructions.

These items are shipped using:

  • Royal Mail Tracked 24 Signed
  • Royal Mail Tracked 48 Signed
  • Express Courier Delivery

Age-restricted products require age verification. You will be prompted to verify after your payment is confirmed. Customers with a Hideout Craft account will have their verification stored for up to 12 months, so they do not need to re-verify on future purchases.

Heavy or Oversize Items

Some heavy, bulky, or oversize items carry an additional shipping supplement.

Where this applies, the supplement will be shown on the product page and/or at checkout.

Orders over £60 may qualify for free standard delivery, but any heavy or oversize supplement still applies.

High-Value Orders

High-value orders may be shipped using an insured delivery service or courier service, depending on the most suitable and secure option for the order.

Where a courier service is required or selected, the available courier option and cost will be shown at checkout.

3. Free UK Delivery

Free UK parcel delivery is available on eligible orders over £60.

Free delivery applies to eligible standard delivery services only.

Optional upgrades, including faster delivery, signed delivery, courier delivery, urgent dispatch, or heavy/oversize supplements, may still carry an additional charge.

4. Tracking

Tracking details will be provided by email once your order has been dispatched.

Customers are responsible for monitoring the tracking information and ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel where required.

5. Delivery Address Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address provided at checkout is accurate and complete.

Hideout Craft will dispatch orders to the address exactly as entered at checkout.

We are not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or losses caused by incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer.

If an address error is identified, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has been processed or dispatched.

6. Delivery Issues

If there is an issue with delivery, please check the tracking information first.

Where appropriate, please also check with neighbours, reception areas, mail rooms, or any nominated safe place.

If the parcel has not been delivered to the agreed address or agreed safe place, please contact us and we will assist with the delivery investigation.

If a customer gives Royal Mail or a courier permission to leave a parcel with a neighbour, in a safe place, or at another nominated location, responsibility for loss after delivery to that nominated place may pass to the customer.

7. Packaging

Orders are packed carefully using appropriate protective materials to help ensure safe delivery.

8. International Shipping

International delivery is not currently available.
